The inaugural WSOP Super Circuit Canada Main Event title stayed in Canada.
According to WSOP's report published on September 10, Mayukh Chakraborty won the Main Event at Playground in Kahnawake, Quebec, earning CAD 1.5 million and his first career WSOP Circuit gold ring. The tournament drew 2,844 entries. The final table also included four-time WSOP bracelet winner Chance Kornuth, who finished fourth.
For spectators, this is a story of “firsts”: the first Canadian Super Circuit produced a home-country champion winning his first Circuit ring. The figure 2,844 counts entries, rather than distinct players.
